The cafe- restaurant section of the hotel will be closed on Wednesdays during the off season (September – May). If you have a booking during this off season and will be arriving on a Wednesday, we kindly request that you provide us with an indication of your arrival time upon booking.
For dinners, you can always visit one of the nearby picturesque villages of Blokzijl, Vollenhove or Giethoorn.
By car:
Coming from the West of the Netherlands:
- You take the A6 to Emmeloord and take exit number 15, then drive towards Blokzijl (N331) and take the N333 to Steenwijk
- After Blokzijl you will find Muggenbeet after ca. 3 km (exit Geertien restaurant) on your right hand side
Coming from the South via the A28 to Zwolle:
- After Staphorst, take the exit to Meppel (A32)
- Via Steenwijk, drive towards Emmeloord (N333) and after ca. 9 km and two bridges you will find Muggenbeet on your left hand side
Coming from the South via the A50 to Zwolle:
- Take the N50 to Emmeloord
- Take the exit to Ens and via Vollenhove and Blokzijl (N333) you will find Muggenbeet after ca. 3 km (exit Geertien restaurant) on your right hand side
Coming from the North via the A7 Leeuwarden, Groningen or Heerenveen and then via the A32 to Steenwijk or via the A28 to Assen, Meppel and Steenwijk:
- Drive towards Emmeloord (N333) and find Muggenbeet after ca. 9 km and two bridges on your left hand side (exit Geertien restaurant)
Coming from Enschede or Emmen you can follow Meppel and Steenwijk (N333) to Muggenbeet
